Personal Thoughts

The scales superimposed over the Bible is a reminder of the tremendous burden we carry to “rightly” handle to Word of God. It is no small task. The question we should all ask ourselves is, “Do we apply Holy Scripture to our lives or our lives to Holy Scripture?” If we apply the Word to our lives, then we stand a good chance that we will not rightly handle the word of truth. As sinners, we will pick and choose what makes us feel good. On the contrary, if we apply our lives to the Word, then God’s truth remains supreme and we will rightly see the sin in our lives and seek forgiveness and turn from our wicked ways.
