THE RAINBOW

“I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” (ESV)

Personal Thoughts

I did a design of the dove and olive branch. After that, I wanted to try and create a rainbow using just varying wood tones. Obviously, the rainbow reminds us of God’s covenant to never again bring a flood to destroy man. That said, we have all seen devastating floods in our country and we are heartbroken at the loss of life. Even though we may at times not be able to understand why, may we all understand the beauty of the eternal message found in the rainbow. I hope this design will remind us all that God’s sovereign hand is over all and we should find comfort in His covenant promise.
